Where Is Seaton, Pickering?

Every day, more progress takes place in the new Pickering development, Seaton, which is one of the biggest developments in all of Canada. Since this is happening practically in our own backyard, we are more excited than you can imagine.
There is so much great news to report, but first, let’s review the basics. What and where is Seaton in Pickering, and what is all of the buzz about?
Pickering’s hottest new enclave is located in North Pickering and will encompass over 7,000 acres (or 28 square kilometres for the metric-minded among us). Half of this land will be preserved as naturalized green spaces with forests, creeks, parks, and trails, all while making room for up to 70,000 residents over the long term.
Employment opportunities in the area are also a high priority. The goal is to provide as many as 35,000 jobs close to the Innovation Corridor along Highway 7 and the 407.
In the end, Seaton will encompass six distinct neighbourhoods, 17 schools, two community centres, a pool, an ice rink, and a library. It’s easy to see why the Seaton community is such a big deal for families, first-time buyers, newcomers to Canada, retirees, and, well, anyone searching for a new place to call home.
